The Mane Thing

It's one of the most beautiful parts of the horse, yet we seem to forget about it sometimes. The horse's mane needs some attention too. Whether we pull it, braid it or let it grow, the mane should also be a part of the grooming process. Knots can form very easily in the mane and tail. Regular brushing will help deal with that. Brushing will also help get rid of loose hairs, dust and sweat off of the horse. Dandruff can also form if the mane isn't taken care of.

There are some things that are popular when it comes to manes like thinning it, training it to one side and braiding it. I won't explain how to do these three things, but if you would like to know more about them let me know.

One thing to remember is that even though braids on a horse do look beautiful, they should not be in their mane everyday as that might cause more harm than good. Frequent braiding may cause things like increased hair loss. So if you are going to braid your horse's mane, do it in moderation.

No matter how you style your horse's mane, it always gives them a beautiful image. Even if you aren't ever going to braid your horse's mane, please remember to take care of it anyway. Make sure to keep every part of your horse clean and in good health.

I wish you all the best. Thank you for taking the time to read my blog.
